Spirit of Innovation Seawork Trophy 2013

INNOVATION AWARD - 2015

The ever popular Seawork Network and Awards evening, which is held on the first evening of Seawork, is a fantastic opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest innovations, beat off the competition and network with like-minded individuals.

If you’re an exhibitor with a truly innovative NEW product, vessel or project that has been launched in the past 12 months, then the Innovation Awards are the perfect way for you to gain competitive advantage and showcase your products on the Innovations Showcase stand within Hall C.

Taking place on Tuesday 16 June, the awards event will recognise companies who have launched innovative new products and who are familiar with the wealth of new ideas, skills and technologies within the commercial marine sector. The judges will be specifically looking for exciting and creative products that provide solutions to issues with the sector.

They’ll be plenty of opportunities to network and for those lucky enough to win an award the business benefits are priceless, such as gaining competitive advantage, building brand awareness, PR coverage, social media coverage and increased sales.

The Showcase is judged by an independent panel with a Certificate of Commendation awarded to the individual winners. The overall winner from this select few will be presented with the prestigious ‘Spirit of Innovation’ award. To qualify, all entries must have come to market in the previous 12 months and provide a valuable insight into the latest in design, technology and applications. Categories include: Vessel Design & Construction, Marine Civil Engineering & Construction, Marine Equipment, Electronics & Materials, Diving & Underwater Technology, Renewable Energy, and Safety & Training.

SeaVax - Is an ocean cleaning drone ship concept. The diagram above shows a scoop head and lead in guides that funnel plastic waste to a shredding mill. The only thing stopping us from building a working prototype is funding. We'll prove the concept first in 1/20th scale before progressing to a full size prototype. 2015 may be the year that sees some serious effort to clean up our oceans. Please note that this design is the subject of ongoing development. For this reason some drawings may not correspond with earlier versions and the details have been omitted deliberately to preserve future IP rights.
