Terry is looking to the oceans of the world to provide sustainable fish supplies for future generations

The effectiveness of SeaVax™ may be improved in several ways. The objective of this application is to help potential associates, with specific expertise, to help us develop our ocean cleaning system into an economic tool for the prosperity of the immediate regions applying the technology and eventually as part of a global sustainability drive for a truly circular economy.

This relates to a number of areas of what is now more generally termed "Blue Growth," including keeping beaches clean, protecting marine life and improving the quality of seawater to help revitalize dwindling fish stocks. The objective of such activities is aimed at securing food for humans as world population increases putting a strain on available land for housing and agriculture, with knock on effects for climate change, that is forecast to push food production offshore into the oceans.

Our part in any application for EU funding will tailor parts of SeaVax development in a manner that will benefit our partners and fulfill the objectives of the relevant call - where we are essentially boat builders more than willing to adapt to change in an ever changing world.

For this Horizon 2020 bid proposal, where the timescale is shown as being 12 months in year 2017 spilling to 2018, the project may span 12 to 24 or 36 months and the costs be spread in relation to items as they are called. In such a case, where the overheads are dependent on the time that facilities are used, the running costs of the project will increase directly in relation to the time that workshops and laboratory equipment is used - incorporating rents and other administration costs directly relating to the running of the project. The only time this situation might change is if the premises are purchased, which at current property values is impossible.

For each additional year of operation add: IP £4,580 + 21,600 = £46,180 (special not for profit rate). These rates must be applied as year long units, irrespective of whether or not whole 12 month blocks are used up.

The overall bid total may be reduced by focusing development on satellite navigation hard and software, only readying the SeaVax hardware for eventual incorporation without sea trials. The bid may be increased to include floating SeaVax hardware if the EU so indicate, or physical trials may be the subject of future calls.

* The foreshore cost may increase (double) if a match funding offer by a local concern is not taken up.

PHASE I - PROOF OF CONCEPT - 1/20TH MODEL 2015 - (LOSS) YEAR TOTAL: £138,408.00 (rolled over)

PHASE II - PROOF OF CONCEPT - TEST TANK 2016 - 2017 -  YEAR TOTAL: £18,061.03 (@ Oct 31 2016)*

PHASE II - PROOF OF CONCEPT - ROBOTICS LAB 2016 - 2017 - YEAR TOTAL: £68,824.82 (@ Oct 31 2016)*

PHASE II - OVERHEADS: 2016 - 2017 - YEAR TOTAL: £104,826.29 (@ Oct 31 2016)*

PHASE II - SEAVAX PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT: 2016 - 2017 - YEAR TOTAL: £6,990.00 (@ Oct 31 2016)*

* Some purchases for which invoices trailed orders are not included in these "interim" figures. Adjustment is made on an "as received" basis and should be allowed for in any reckoning - save for the final accounts in relation and with particular reference to Avaaz funding, where a gate closes and may not be adjusted under slip rules. Monies that are not exhausted from crowd funding will be returned (presumably) for redistribution to other similar worthy causes.
