Martin Rees and David Hammond-Williams were involved in the running of BTL as directors. This company was not party to the Undertaking. However, in view of the fact they advertised they were to build a car named Bluebird Electric - BE3, this company and its directors have been put on notice, not to pass-off any vehicle as being the work of Nelson Kruschandl.
Director - Martin Rees
Nelson Kruschandl first met Martin Rees in London in 1996 on the occasion when he met Sir Terence for a press call at one of the famous restaurateurs establishments overlooking the river Thames. Some time later David Hammond-Williams was introduced by Martin Rees to Nelson during a get together which took place at the famous old 'Brooklands' raised bank circuit in Surrey. Both men were involved in television production. Martin Rees (MR) was keen to secure a documentary deal for a Welsh television company. David Hammond-Williams (DHW) was either a producer or director or both. It seems that the company: Bluebird Technologies Ltd formed by this duo sought to develop Nelson's patent battery cartridge based refueling system, without permission and regardless of the passing-off element.
This futuristic-looking float is, as we previously suspected, the so called Bluebird XDV. Apparently, it was designed for Express Dairies, who subsequently placed it into service on a trial basis with Parcelforce delivering parcels in Northampton. Martin Rees, the chairman of Bluebird Automotive, confirmed the identity of the float.
Director - David Hammond-Williams
David and Martin had been involved in an earlier company called Bluebird Events Ltd. Where the current trading position has not been confirmed, it appears creditors to BTL have acquired at least 2 County Court Judgments. The company was being monitored for adverse risk and statutory change which revealed:-
DATE: 15 12 2001 TYPE of CHANGE = STATUTORY: Change of registered office
DATE: 28 05 2002 TYPE of CHANGE = STATUTORY: New annual return analyzed
DATE: 12 06 2002 TYPE of CHANGE = ADVERSE RISK: New County Court Judgment

Subject: Greetings from the UK
Dear Bruce Meland ...
I came across you via the article in EV World's latest e-bulletin and thought I
would get in touch.
My colleague and I have spent the last three years trying (with some success) to
develop a range of electric commercial vehicles capable of 50 miles range @
50-60 mph and - crucially - capable of round-the-clock operation. Check out www.bluebirdautomotive.com
We began our involvement with EVs through our management of the Bluebird
electric land speed record project (Our driver, Don Wales, is the grandson of
Sir Malcolm Campbell).
We have built a prototype (XDV) for a major client in the UK dairy industry.
However, there have been concerted attempts to wrest control of the enterprise
from us (at least it proves it's a good idea!).
Is this something that interests you? And is there an opportunity here for us to
get involved as UK/European correspondents? I am a former newspaper/TV
journalist and we are both trained documentary film-makers.
I look forward to hearing from you.
David Hammond-Williams
Hi David; If you have any photos and current story you would like to have us put on our web site www.electrifyingtimes.com for starters, perhaps it would help your agenda. Or other suggestions. Bruce Meland editor/publisher
Martin Rees and David Hammond-Williams went on to found Bluebird Automotive Group Limited (BAGL). Currently they are listed as being the Chairman and Director of Communications respectively. We have been asked many times if these two gentlemen are our associates. For the avoidance of any doubt they are not. They have nothing to do with our company or any project we are associated with and are not licensed to use our trademarks, such as the bird logo below.
